Rare G.W. Gamage Patented Time Globe. Pat. September 7, 1915, the "Globe Chronometer shows the time of locations on the Earth at the same moment, with difference in time points between any two points, etc. Geographical Clock Co. Manufacturers". 18 in dia. globe pattern with copyright by W. & A. K. Johnston Ltd. (Edinburg & London), in very good condition, has a single annular dial along the equator, paper label measuring 1.25 in. high with sub dial indicating large cities and incised metal bezels indicating degrees longitude an time zones, on a heavy nickel plated brass base. Runs on a brass 8 day spring driven time only movement signed Waterbury Clock Co., has a lever escapement, running with balance wheel swinging freely with nice brisk motion; movement is stem wind & stem set through the 2 crowns at the top of the globe. Globe is in very nice condition with a nice clean surface no repairs or losses, only minor and typical wear from age. 33 in. high. Weight: 37 lbs.
