Original 12 in. paper dial signed "Seth Thomas Movement", has black Roman hour numerals, spade hands, original 8 day brass time only spring driven movement signed "Made By Seth Thomas for Edw. P. Baird & Co., NY & Quebec" with long pendulum rod and brass covered bob. Rustic unusual style short drop wood and paper mache case with relief lettering around the door and unusual shaped lower door with glass exposing the pendulum bob, door reads "Clock & Eagle Braids, Herald & Eagle Buttons"; lower door has a relief American eagle seal, flanked by figural "Heralds" and a banner which reads "Registered Trade Mark". Condition: Excellent overall, has enhanced original painted finish on the doors; Baird signature worn from dial and a chip in the upper left corner of the lower door. Original setup instructions label inside and unusual "ownership introduction" label behind the door. c.1895 35 in. high x 18.5 in. wide x 4.25 in. deep. Weight: 13.5 lbs.
