A great original condition turn of the century Cowper one wheeler, rare and the only one known! This machine has its original cardboard wheel with only a minor crease. The papers on front facade are possible replicas but look aged and appropriate. The coin head shows the last five nickels played, and there is original wood finish and plating on cabinet. Inside the cabinet is the original manufacturer's stencil. If a winner came up, a bell rings and either a token or nickels fall into the payout cup. The player would be paid out accordingly. The mechanism is simplistic with some cash payouts and a variable token payout. Overall in excellent working condition and appearance. C. 1897. With copy of an original advertising brochure.
