Radnor (Helen Matilda, Countess) & W.B.Squire. Catalogue of the Pictures in the Collection of the Earl of Radnor, 2 vol., number 155 of 200 copies on handmade paper, plates, captioned guards, original buckram, t.e.g., others uncut, a few scuffs, spines slightly faded, privately printed at the Chiswick Press, 1909; and another on the collection, 4to & 8vo (3) ⁂ Magnificent catalogue compiled after the Countess of Radnor found several account books in the muniments room at Longford Castle; these provided many dates, provenance and prices of the purchases made by the family between 1720 and 1823. In 1970 their Velazquez portrait of Juan de Pareja (probably acquired by the 2nd Earl of Radnor in 1811 for £151 14s 5d.) was sold at Christie's for the world auction record of £2,310,000.
