Quincey (Thomas De, essayist, 1785-1859).- Quincey (Margaret De, De Quincey's eldest daughter, married Robert Craig in 1853, and settled in Ireland, 1818-71) Autograph Letter signed to "My Dear Sir", 4pp., 8vo, Mavis Bush [Cottage], Lasswade [near Edinburgh], 12th September 1853, inviting him to dinner and to stay for "a day or two with us" but warning him that it may be an uncomfortable experience, "you may as well look for a soft stone to lie upon as a soft bed in our house", and referring to her father, "Papa is not here at present or he would join my sisters and me in kind regards and thanks for the notes which travelled safely home with me", laid in on paper, folds.
