PUCCINI GIACOMO: (1858-1924) Italian Composer. A.L.S, G. Puccini, one page, 4to, Torre del Lago, 29th March 1911, to Tito Ricordi, Milan, in Italian. On his personal printed stationery with the heading of Torre del Lago, Toscana, Puccini sends a message to his close friend Ricordi referring to their mutual affairs in Rome and America, stating in part `Caro Tito, ricevuto tua lettera con notizie italo americane …´ (''Dear Tito, I have received your letter with the Italian American news…'') Puccini further explains that he will be travelling to Rome and that they will talk together. Addressed to the verso in Puccini´s hand, postmarked and stamped. Small age wear with letter edges slightly trimmed. G Tito Ricordi was the great grandson of Giovanni Ricordi, the founder of the classical music publishing company Casa Ricordi. He succeeded his father Giulio Ricordi (1840-1912) After the death of Giulio, the relation between Puccini and Ricordi deteriorated, Tito Ricordi and Puccini disliked each other.
