Pseudo-Bonaventura, Meditationes vitae Christi, in Latin, decorated manuscript on vellum [England (perhaps Lincoln), first half of the fifteenth century] 94 leaves (plus 4 medieval endleaves; volume ends with contemporary note "isto libro precedenter continentur folia lxxxxiiij"), 220mm. by 160mm., complete, collation: i-vii12, viii10 (last 2 blank and cancelled), modern pencil foliation including endleaves (followed here), double column, 31 lines in dark brown ink in a cursive hand, rubrics in red, 2-line initials in red or blue, leaves a little cockled throughout, else excellent condition with wide and clean margins, modern brown calf over contemporary wooden boards (thongs now split in places, but solid in binding), fitted slipcase
