Discoloured retouching is visible scattered throughout the sitter’s face, neck, lace collar and white wrap. Other retouchings are also visible to the naked eye in the background. Inspection under ultraviolet light is impeded by the old, milky varnish but confirms the aforementioned retouchings and further reveals some lines of strengthening around the sitter’s hair and sides of her face. In overall fair condition.
