The Ladies' Assistant for Regulating and Supplying the Table; being a Complete System of Cookery, &c..., Originally Published from the Manuscript Collection of Mrs. Charlotte Mason, 7th edition, enlarged, corrected, and improved to the present time, 1793, without half-title A1, bookplate of Mary Chadsey (Sotheby's London, 28-29 January 1999, lot 82), hinges repaired, contemporary calf, modern reback and black morocco title label, 8vo, (ESTC N11608 listing three copies only, Maclean p.95), together with Bradley (Richard) , New Improvements of Planting and Gardening, both Philosphical and Practical..., to which is added, that scarce and valuable tract intitled, Herefordshire Orchards, 4th edition, 1724, title in red & black, 11 engraved plates (including 8 folding), one folding plate with repaired closed tear and two other folding plates with few worm holes, occasional minor spotting, bookplate of Edmund Lamplugh Irton of Irton Hall, Cumberland, front free endpapers replaced, contemporary blind panelled calf, modern reback and corner repairs, 8vo Ex libris Christopher Hogwood CBE (1941-2014).
