PRESIDENTS] Archive of signed presidential letters and photographs to New York Congressman and Supreme Court Justice Louis B. Heller . Comprising TRUMAN, HARRY. Five typed letters signed, 1949-53. Each a single page letter, four are on White House and one on personal stationery. Content includes Truman not seeking re-election, replacing MacArthur in the Far East, etc., one letter with an autograph post-script. Some tape residue to versos, one toned; EISENHOWER, DWIGHT D. Inscribed photograph with typed letter signed and signed card. The photograph inscribed to Heller as Congressman circa 1953, 9 1/2 x 7 1/2 inches. The letter regarding the photograph. Each framed with the mats soiled, the inscription somewhat faded; KENNEDY, JOHN F. Inscribed photograph, circa 1960, 10 x 8 inches. Smudge to signature, edges toned; JOHNSON, LYNDON. Inscribed photograph, 12 x 10 inches, inscribed on the mat; NIXON, RICHARD. One inscribed and one signed photograph. The inscribed photograph signed "Dick Nixon" circa 1964, the other framed and signed below image; FORD, GERALD. Signed photograph, framed; CARTER, JIMMY. Letter and photograph signed. The letter written as President Elect in December 1976 and regards the innauguration; And related autographed and ephemeral items including a letter signed by Franklin Roosevelt, Jr., Jacob Javitz, a photograph with Truman, etc. Several items framed with soiling or visible stains, unexamined out of frames and the lot sold with all faults. Louis B. Heller was a New York State Senator in 1943-44, a Democratic Congressman from 1949 to 1954, an Associate Justice of the New York City Court of Special Sessions from 1954 to 1958, and was a Justice of the New York Supreme Court from 1966 to 1977.
