Postcard addressed to John Paton of the Independent Labour Party, with autograph message signed by Shaw ('G.Bernard Shaw') reading "As the distance from Molvern to ...makes a very large hole in a hundred miles, and would involve two or three days absence from the theatre, I cannot settle anything until the Molvern dates of performance are settled. All I can say now is that it is very unlikely that the 1st of August will be possible. As unlikely that it would be wiser to arrange for it without reference to me", light foxing, 14.4 x 9.2cm, 4 Whitehall Court, London, 7 May 1932, postmarked 9 May 1932. Together with another postcard to the same recipient, with a short autograph note signed ('GBS') reading It is quite impossible. I am overwhelmed with work at this moment. In any case I could be of no use to you", 4 Whitehall Court, London 19 July 1935 (2)
