Map of the French assault on Barcelona during the War of the Spanish Succession (1701-1714), made by Pieter van Cal and Alexander Forbes We see a plan of the bastioned city being bombarded from the fortress on Montjuic, while French ships blockade the harbour. The map has a legend and explication in the top-right corner. Beautifully colored by hand in the period. The little flap on Montjuic is missing, the image is trimmed to the borders of the map, which has a center fold.
