Home of Wright Bros. / Inventors of the Aeroplane." Wear to tray, including separation at top right corner, oxidation, soiling. Commemorative US Air Force silk bandana, 30 x 32.5 in., featuring airplane at center and lyrics, "Off we go into the wild blue yonder," with text at each corner recognizing the following: "Eddie Rickenbacker; Kitty Hawk NC Wright Bros.; Billy Mitchell; Non Stops to Europe and Japan." Few minor holes, light spots. Otherwise very fine condition. Small tin container, approx. 1.5 x 2 in., featuring portrait and airplane identified to Alfred Friedrich, a German pioneer in flight, ca 1920. Some surface wear to tin. Silver gelatin press photograph of Amelia Earhart, 8 x 10 in., housed in decorative glass frame with fanciful details, 10 x 12 in. With typed paper label on verso and stamped credit to Central Press Association, February 20, 1933. Vertical crease in photograph, along right portion (passing through Earhart's left shoulder). Very rare hard rubber figural Graf Zeppelin pipe, approx. 5.5 in. long, with burl wood bowl, four small fins at the end, cabin on the bottom engraved "Depose." One side of main body lettered "PARIS-NEW YORK" in gold. Ca 1927. Some light surface wear. 41 printed postcards commemorating Cabral and Coutinho's flight from Portugal to Brazil in 1922.
