Title printed in red and black with woodcut printer's device. Later (20th century) half vellum, doublures of old printed pages, spine with handwritten title. Contemporary marginal annotations and underlinings to text. Minor foxing and marginal dampstaining. Pietro Crinito (or Crinitus, or Pietro Del Riccio Baldi, 1475-1507), Florentine humanist scholar, worked for the Medicis. The present work is probably his best known, first published in 1504. It has been taken to be a source for the work of Nostradamus.
