Lot of 13, including 11 press photographs, most associated with the release of the 1939 film Jesse James by Paramount. One AP photo shows Robert Frank James, son of Frank and Annie James, at the pump behind the family cabin near Kearney, MO. Dated 9 April 1939. Another photo shows Bob looking at the headlines of another person claiming to be Jesse James - alive and well (and about 100-years old at the time). There is a 1930 photo of the wife of Jesse James, Jr. with her father-in-law's "war tools." Photo with two middle-aged men, and penned title: "Two Houn' Dawgs with Jesse James Guns. Photo by Peter Brandt." Western Union "Night Letter" from Cole Younger, 9 Feb. 1915. Stella Francis "Mrs. Jesse Jr." James. There are at least 5 press photos associated with the making of the movie, Jesse James. One press photo is of Jesse James Jr. and his daughter, Jessie Estelle James. There are others of just Jesse, Jr. and Jessie. Jesse, Jr. was a consultant on the film and Jessie played her grandmother, Zerelda. Plus a cell from the film, "Jesse James." (With Tyrone Power, Henry Fonda, etc.) Condition: Most very good. Most have either been mounted in an album or have the Press notes on verso.
