Others with inked captions on verso dated July or August 1961, and showing Launch control and other views of Site 6. The photographs show the construction of the Titan II missile silos near Wichita, Kansas. Strategic Air Command at nearby McConnell AFB administered 18 of the 63 ICBM sites in the country, which where active from 1963 to 1987. Condition: Three photographs with scattered yellowing/discoloration, else very good.
