(10), 116 pp. (irregular pagination). Closely trimmed, sometimes with some loss of letters of headings. + (VAUGHAN, THOMAS). PHILALETHES, EUGENIUS. Magia Adamica: or The Antiquitie of Magic and the Descent thereof from Adim downwards, proved. Whereunto is added a perfect an full discoverie of the true Goelum Terrra, or the Magician's Heavenly Chaos, and first Matter of all Things. By Eugenius Philalethes. London (T. W. for H. Blunden) 1650. 8vo (135x80 mms). (25), 1-126, 129-140, (1) pp. Not complete. Lacking pages 127-28 replaced by handwritten facsimile. Some minor dampstaining and spotting. Modern nice full calf bindings, blind-tooled boards in mirror-style, spine in compartments with title label, speckled edges. 2 vols. Thomas Vaughan (1622-66), Welsh alchemist and mystic, also called a Rosicrucian. His published writings deals with magic and mysticism rather than technical alchemy.
