BINDING: contemporary blind-tooled fawn goatskin over wooden boards bound for Antonio Pillone by Belluno Bindery A, the sides panelled with fillets, the border formed by repeated knotwork tool, the central panel with repeated small crown tool forming concentric circles and semi-circles, 5 brass bosses to each cover (6 missing), spine in 4 compartments diapered with triple fillets and with small circle at intersections, 4 clasps with chased brass catches on lower cover, a pair of vellum endleaves (small wormholes, a few small sections worn, some stains).
