Journal of a Second Voyage for the Discovery of a North-West Passage from the Atlantic to the Pacific; performed in the Years 1821-22-23, in His Majesty's Ships Fury and Hecla..., London: John Murray 1824, engraved frontispiece, 9 engraved maps (4 folding), 29 engraved plates (including 4 folding panoramas), some heavy dampstaining and browning, with consequent brittle & fraying leaves, few plates and leaves of text loose or detached, front blank inscribed Katharine Brodie Hoare from W. U. Sterne, 1885, front pastedown with bookplate of Edward Brodie Hoare, later 19th century half morocco, leather lifting on spine and marbled sides to boards lifting and torn, 4to (Qty: 1) Edward Brodie Hoare (1841-1911) was a banker and politician. He married Katherine Parry daughter of Rear Admiral Sir William Edward Parry. Sold with all faults, not subject to return.
