16 gauge, 28" barrels with matted rib choked "modified", S/N 151642 (mfg. ca1909). Blued barrels, color casehardened receiver, checkered pistol-gripped stock with Parker Brothers hard rubber grip cap and engraved skeleton buttplate and checkered butt, checkered splinter forend. Water table marked with three patent date lines (1887, 1889 & 1905) and serial number over a "3". Matching serial numbers on barrels and forend, with barrels also marked "3" underneath with the initials "J.G." in an oval and "T" in a circle. Receiver engraved flowing foliate scrolls and game scenes and PARKER BROS in ribbons on both sides. Barrel rib marked PARKER BROS. MAKERS. MERIDEN, CONN. TITANIC STEEL, flanked by arrows. 2.5" chamber, double triggers, extractors, German silver escutcheon inlaid in toe line of stock. 14.125" length of pull, 1.75" drop at comb and 2.75" drop at heel. Condition: Very good. Barrels retain some weak, thinned blue that has blended with an attractive plum brown patina. Receiver mostly a pewter gray with some minute hints of case color on the water table. Markings remain clear and crisp as does engraving. Mechanically functional, very nice bores that are bright and smooth. Stock with lightly scattered bumps and dings from handling and use. A lovely Parker DH grade 16 gauge that is nice enough to collect but not so fine that you would be hesitant to take it into the field.
