Original cream morocco, by Shnell with his stamp, the spines and sides titled in red and silver, the upper sides with the regimental seal blocked in red, the lower sides with the Imperial eagle blocked in silver and gilt, red moiré silk doublures printed with a diapered pattern in silver, edges gilt, vol.4 with front and back wrappers bound in (text block of vol. 4 detached from binding, minor rubbing and light soiling). Provenance : 'Printed in Soviet Union' (small stamp on front blank) -- Paul M. Fekula. FIRST EDITION, DELUXE ISSUE, in the original morocco binding. The Fekula copy of the biographical volumes from one of the rarest and most luxurious regimental histories. Potemkin, Orlov, Mannerheim and many other illustrious figures served in the regiment, which distinguished itself particularly during the battles of Austerlitz and Borodino.
