Délicat décor de fins branchages courant gracieusement sur la largeur du volant, la bordure ponctuée de médaillons à petites modes et d'une guirlande de folioles, réseau à mailles tortillées, crin de cheval sur l'ensemble des motifs rare à trouver sur les dentelles d'Alençon du XVIIIe siècle. Lin couleur crème. (qqes très ptts trous ou fines reprises au réseau) Dim. 75 cm x 11 cm chacune Pair of lappets of French Alençon handmade needle lace, about 1780-90, floral design finely worked with medallions all along the border, tortillé ground, linen thread, creamy color. The horse hair is still around all the inner motifs and all along the border, it is rare to find horse hair onto motifs for the Alençon lace of this period.
