New York: Charles Scribner's Sons 1906. 18 vols., 8vo, crushed blue morocco, covers panelled with gilt and pointillé rules, central gilt and gilt-dotted flowering bush ornament, spines in six gilt-panelled compartments, two gilt-lettered, turn-ins gilt, maroon morocco doublures with gilt leaf and dot ornaments at corners, red watered silk liners, t.e.g., others untrimmed, heads and tails of most spines rubbed or chipped, most joints lightly rubbed, 2 or 3 more severely so, inner hinges of 3 vols. splitting, spines faded to green, a few covers with slight mildew staining . LIMITED EDITION, no. 97 of 230 copies with the portrait signed by the author, on Ruisdael paper, titles printed in red and black, wood-engraved title vignettes in green, color halftone plates, including frontispieces.
