Kahnweiler, Paris, 1914 (Geiser 36-7; Bloch 25-7; Cramer 3) etching, drypoint, and etching with drypoint, 1913-14, on Japan ancien, title, text and set of three, signed by author and artist on the justification, numbered 12, from the rare de luxe edition of only 15 printed on this paper, the plates in fine impressions, printed by Delatre, with margins, the text printed by P. Girault, Japan covers, title on spine, the whole contained in elaborate binding by T. Henningsen, consisting of three blank leaves at each end, grey paper endpapers extensively stippled with hand-colouring, these endpapers and inside covers lined with maroon suede, the covers in black leather with gilt-tooled spots and extensively decorated with inlaid designs of multi-coloured leather, gilt title on spine, protective wrapper of grey paper-covered card also extensively stippled with hand-colouring, lined in maroon suede, black leather spine and vertical edges, gilt title on spine, similarly decorated box with two sleeve pockets at spine, containing seven sheets of hand-coloured alternative designs for binding, the whole in remarkably fine and fresh condition (album) overall S. 253 x 180mm.
