Entwas gebräunt und am Rand stockfleckig, ansonsten sauberes, unebschnitteens Exemplar. English: Extremely scarce single printing of the second of Owen's so-called American discourses. Williams 28 refers only to the first discourse, delivered on February 25th 1825 and printed the same year. Williams 29 and NUC record an edition of "Twi discourses on a new system of society", delivered on Februars 25th and March 15th. Our discourse was delivered on March 7th, and we were not able to find out, if it is different from the one held on March 15th. - In the present copy a newspaper article from the "New York Daily Advertiser, Dec. 1 (no year, but contemporary)", in which Owen's theories are discussed is pasted to the verso of title. Some browning and slight marginal foxing, else a good uncut copy in marbled wrappers.
