"Osler had planned as early as 1912 to leave his library to McGill University, but did not conceive the idea of publishing an extended catalogue until two years later... Osler died while the project was still unfinished and the task of completing the catalogue was carried out by Dr. William W. Francis, Reginald H. Hill, and Dr. Archibald Malloch." (Norman).
