[Ornithology - Falconry] HUBER, Jean Observations sur le vol des oiseaux de proie. Geneva, Paul Barde, 4to: pp. (large water stain covering lower part of several lvs and pl., smaller one in upper corner, spotting in the margins, some creases affecting some words). Quarter green cloth, marbled paper on covers (sl. rubbed), flat spine (faded), red leather title label. Wide-margined, uncut copy. First and only edition of this rare work on birds of prey by the Swiss painter, silhouettist and soldier J. Huber (1721-1786). Ill. with 7 engr. pl. on 6 fold. pages designed by Huber displaying his talent for observation and interest in aeronautics in the elegantly and meticulously executed illustrations of wings and flights of birds.
