Title: Original Vanity Fair color lithograph of Horace Hutchinson, signed & framed Author: Hutchinson, Horace G. Place: [London] Publisher: Vanity Fair Date: 1890; (signed 1910) Description: Color lithograph by the noted British portrait artist and caricaturist Leslie Ward (1851-1922), best known under the pseudonym “Spy”. Plate approx. 14½x9½; expertly framed inside an archival double-matted with wide-margined crimson silk, cherry veneer wooden frame with decorative carved edges, 23¼x18¼ (overall). Signed by the subject of the piece and noted golf author, Horace Hutchinson dated June 1, 1910 in brown fountain pen in lower right corner. Shows Hutchinson well dressed, holding pipe and golf club. Printed date on top: July 19, 1890. Lithographed by Vincent Brooks Day & Son. Not examined outside of frame but is certainly professionally done. Lot Amendments Condition: Light foxing, else near fine. Beautifully framed. Item number: 182730
