Height 31 1/2 x width 39 inches. Estimate $ 800-1,200 Chicago III is the third studio album released by American rock band Chicago in 1971. James W. Guercio produced the album. Chicago would go on to record many future records on the ranch. After gaining worldwide success and touring for most of 1970, Chicago recorded an album reflective of their experiences on the road, which inspired exploration into new genres and sounds as evident in this album and those to come. With the ongoing Vietnam War, Chicago included an album poster featuring the band members decked in period uniforms of American soldiers-making a statement along with the American flag album cover. The original artwork was designed by John Berg As an art director (and later creative director and vice president) of Columbia/CBS Records from 1961 until 1985, Berg oversaw a golden age of record cover design. While there, he was responsible for developing the overall design for some of music's biggest talents including, Bob Dylan Bruce Springsteen, Simon and Garfunkel, Chicago, Bessie Smith, Blood, Sweat & Tears and more. He was nominated for 29 Grammys and won four of them.
