[On the Cult of Personality and its Consequences], 96pp., first Polish edition, second issue, a little browned, hole to inner margin of title where wrapper previously stuck to leaf, small ink stamp to foot of final leaf, stapled in original grey printed wrappers, slight fading to spine and edges, 8vo, Warsaw, 1956. *** Khrushchev' "secret speech", delivered at the closed session of the Twentieth Congress of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in February 1956. In this speech he attacked Stalin for promoting a personality cult in which the leader was more important than the principles of the Party. At the same time he distributed copies of Lenin's Testament of 1922-1923, in which Lenin had criticised Stalin in an attempt to prevent him taking power, and which had never been made public before. This is the second issue of the Polish translation, the first to include Lenin's Testament as an appendix.
