A fine and rare stainless steel manual wind chronograph bracelet watch made for the Italian market Model: Speedmaster Apollo Soyuz Reference: ST 145.022, Limited Edition No.312 Date: Produced 11th May 1976 Movement: 17-jewel Cal.861 manual wind, No.39181001 Dial: Black, Apollo Soyuz mission patch below 12, luminous baton hour markers, white outer 1/5th second divisions, subsidiary dials at 3, 6 and 9 for seconds, 30 minute and 12 hour recording, white pointed baton hands with luminous inserts, centre chronograph hand Case: Brushed and polished tonneau form, screw down back engraved 'Gemini Apollo Союз' and bas-relief medallion of the Saturn 1B rocket, inside back stamped HF for Huguenin Frères, inner cap, fixed bezel with black tachymetre insert, shouldered crown flanked by twin pushers Strap/Bracelet: Fitted stainless steel 1168 Omega link, end links stamped 633 Buckle/Clasp: Signed folding clasp stamped 11 Signed: Case, dial & movement Size: 40mm Accompaniments: Omega fitted bakelite box, red outer card, Omega red service box, Extract from the Archives, Service guarantee from December 2020, spare parts replaced during service including original black tachymetre insert, glass, crown and hands, 2 spare links FootnotesOn the 17th of July 1975, in the depths of the Cold War, space became the meeting point of two of the space faring nations, the United States of America and the Soviet Union. To celebrate this, in 1976 the Jeweller De Marchi of Turin took delivery of a group of special celebratory Apollo Soyuz watches with the mission badge on the dial and a special embossed case back depicting the Saturn Rocket on a map of the world. The back was also lightly engraved with the limited edition number, an I for Italy and an Ω.
