[Old Books 17th-19th Century] [Antiquities. Medici] Statuae antiquae deorum
et vivorum illustrym centum aereis tabulis incisaequae exstant in thesauro mediceo. Antonio Franscesco Gori. Florence, Francesco Moücke, 1734. xxxv. 111, (1) pp. Engraved printer's mark on title page, engr. historiated borders and initials, 100 full-page engravings of Roman statues and monuments, mainly by Giovanni Domenico Campiglia Green half morocco, title gilt on spine, red edges, large folio. Some minor rubbing to binding.
Antonio Gori (1691-1757) worked on the Museum Florentinum, a large reference work on the Medici collection in Florence, for over 30 years. The work eventually comprised 12 extensive folio volumes, rich in engraved plates. This is the third volume of this series, in very fine condition.
