Laid in is a signed, typed letter from Albright on Department of the Interior stationery dated June 22, 1927 instructing all park personnel to let the bearer of the letter, Gerald Marsh, travel about Yellowstone Park freely as he performs his duties. Albright served as superintendent of Yellowstone National Park and, for a short time, Yosemite National Park. He was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1980.
