Odiorne worked as a photographer in Boston, Chicago and New York before moving to Paris. He became friends with William Faulkner, whom he photographed. Each photograph in this collection is stamped on verso with French copyright imprint reading: “Depose a la Bibliotheque Nationale – Copyrighted 1925 by W. C. Odiorne,” along with an image number. Signed in the negative. His photographs are held in the collections of the Center for Creative Photography at the University of Arizona, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, New Orleans Museum of Art, Canadian Center for Architecture, and others.
