Beschreibung:

Objektsbeskrivning SENECA, L. A. Omnia opera. Venice (B. de Cori) 1492. Folio (about 300x204 mm.). (2), CCVIII ll. 62 lines, some initials in red, rubrication otherwise mostly unrealised. Later (20th century) vellum, some spotting, somewhat gilt spine, somewhat warped boards, first and final leaves crudely repaired (with some letter loss), some worming at beginning and end. Browned, stained, somewhat dampstained, stronger in places, some light mildew spots. 3 pages severely inkstained, 2 pages with larger foxing. Old marginal annotations, at beginning underlinings in red. Title with old annotations and some scribbling. First old endpaper with ownership inscription dated 1724 "Ex libris Aymonis Secundi Pavia Tairinensis" (a jurist and scholar from Turin). Hain 14594; GW M41245. Fourth dated edition of Senecas philosophical works and letters, without the tragedies (at the time not attributed to him) but with the rhetorical works now ascribed to his father.
