(1913). single volume, first edition, Limited edition, No.189 of 750 copies, SIGNED by the artist, 4to., (292 x 235mm), original white buckram, decorative design blocked in green and gilt, gilt top, others untrimmed, bookplate of Nevile Gwynne to front pastedown, half-title, 10 tipped-in colour plates (including frontispiece) by Edmund Dulac each with captioned tissue-guard, 113pp; an advertisement laid in, for an exhibition of original watercolours at the Leicester Square Galleries, London, from November 15 until Christmas 1913.. Provenance: by descent from the family of Nevile Gwynne. Nevile Gwyn Gwynne (1869-1951) was the managing director of Gwynne's Pumps, Ltd., London and Lincoln for nearly 40 years. During WW1 Gwynne took a leading role in the introduction of Clerget rotary aero-engines and the manufacture of more than 4,000, for which service he was appointed a C.B.E. Nevile Gwynne served for many years on the Council of the British Engineers' Association being President from 1921-1922 and served on the Grand Council of the Federation of British Industries.(Qty. 1). Princess Badoura, A Tale from the Arabian Nights, Retold by Laurence Houseman - some marks to boards, spine darkened, corners a little scuffed, light foxing to margins of bookplate, finger marks to lower edge of half-title page, toning to leaf edges, joints weak at p.49, occasional light foxing to a few pages, clean bright plates. 2.
