FINE UNSOPHISTICATED COPY OF THE VERY RARE FIRST EDITION OF THE FIRST GENERAL BIBLIOGRAPHY OF ENTOMOLOGY: Nodier's first book to have his name on the title, written when he was fourteen. Writing in the catalogue of his sale in 1827 (no.305), Nodier noted that he destroyed most of the edition, and speculated that no more than four copies survived - this is an exaggeration (a quick search reveals copies in the Bibliothèque Nationale, the British Library and two copies in the Natural History Museum in London), but the work is undoubtedly very rare.
