NIXONS SENDS A CONDOLENCE LETTER TO A CONTRIBUTOR TO HIS 1968 CAMPAIGN. "Mrs. Nixon and I were deeply saddened to learn that Mrs. Revitz had died and we join in sending our heartfelt sympathy to you. We know of your devotion to Mrs. Revitz during her illness, and we pray you will take comfort in the knowledge that she always knew the love and warmth of a family that cared deeply for her..." In his autograph postscript, Nixon writes: "I shall always be grateful for the friendship you & Mrs. Revitz have so loyally extended to us through the years." White House records show Nixon in close phone contact with Revitz in the final stages of the close fought 1968 campaign.
