A good selection of plates from 'one of the most outstanding flower painters of the 17th century' (Hunt). The first edition of the main work was first published with a Latin title Variae ac Multiformes Florum Species: Diverses Fleurs (Paris: F.Poilly, [c.1660?]). Cf.
