Provenance : Tsar Nicholas II (his Winter Palace bookplate) -- Paul Fekula. FROM THE LIBRARY OF TSAR NICHOLAS II AT THE WINTER PALACE. THE DEDICATION COPY BOUND FOR HIM IN RED MOROCCO. The Corps was founded by Empress Anna Ioannovna, and Emperors Nicholas I, Alexander II, and Nicholas II were its Supreme Leaders. A note pencilled in by Nicholas's librarian records that the book entered the collection on 25 February 1913, and gives the location as His Highness's bedroom. Fekula 2494 (this copy).
