NEW YORK - FEDERAL] Run of Laws of the State of New York, 1784-1796 , being the 7th-19th sessions of the legislature, nine volumes mostly in 20th century cloth (one in half morocco, one in leather backed boards). Folio printings, sizes vary, largest 17 1/2 x 10 inches (45 x 26 cm). Commencing with Laws of the State of New York, passed at the first meeting of the seventh session of the Legislature ... beginning the 12th day of February, 1784, and ending the 12th day of May following. New York: Elizabeth Holt, 1784. 127 pp., Evans 18646, with a duplicate copy which is uncut but incomplete; the run continuing with the Laws of the first meeting of the 8th session, Holt: 1784, Evans 18647, bound with the 1785 continuation printed by Loudon in 1785, Evans 19133; The ninth session, Loudon: 1786, Evans 19854; The tenth session, Loudon: 1787, Evans 20578; The eleventh session, Loudon: 1788, Evans 21316, bound with the twelfth session, Loudon: 1789, Evans 22013; The thirteenth session, printed by Childs & Swain: 1790, Evans 22720, bound with the fourteenth session, this title and several subsequent title pages signed by Joshua Sands, Childs & Swain: 1791, Evans 23617, also bound with the fifteenth session, Childs & Swain: 1792, Evans 24603; The sixteenth session, Childs & Swain: 1793, Evans 25902, bound with the seventeenth session, Childs & Swain: 1794, Evans 27399, and bound with the eighteenth session, Childs & Swain: 1795, Evans 29189; And the nineteenth session, bound in half blue morocco for Russell Benedict and with his bookplate, Childs & Swain: 1796, Evans 30876. The whole with various stamps, ink ownership markings of the Bar Association and others, intermittent staining and foxing but generally clean copies, the final volume with some damage to right margin, apparently complete copies but not fully collated and sold as is.
