Lacking letterpress folding table frontispiece; tear from C1 with loss of a couple of words, small closed tear to B9, a little colored dampstain to fore-edge with some associated wear to last several leaves, binding edges rubbed. SECOND ISSUE OF AN IMPORTANT AND RARE EARLY EMIGRANT'S GUIDE TO THE OHIO RIVER VALLEY AND LANDS BEYOND. Issued around the same time as an octavo edition, to which Streeter gives priority. There is detailed advice of roads, Indian population, extent of settlements, prices of goods, etc. "Miller gives quite a complete picture of the status of the different Ohio towns as they were in 1816, and of the different routes to the East. He gives the same kind of information for the country to the West and North, but settlement thus far had been so slight that there was not much to report.
