Hall / Chatham / Con; ht. 4, wd. 16.5, dp. 7.5 in. Chatham, Connecticut (renamed East Hampton in 1915) was a township in Middlesex County known for manufacturing bells. According to the 1880 United States Federal Census for Middlesex County, Julia L. Hall (born in Connecticut in 1837 or 1838) lived with her husband Charles and her three children Frederick, Harry, and Louisa. Provenance: Purchased from Federation Antiques of Cincinnati, Ohio Condition: Some scratches and light wear to paint near edges. Missing lock mechanism.
