The Hague, P. de Hondt, 1734, 2 vol., folio, cont. half calf (sl. bumped corners rep.), brown marbl. paper-covered boards, spines on 7 raised bands (repaired), [42]-348-[23-1 bl.], [4]-360-[28] pp. (without front., some minor marg. soiling & spotting, some very clear browning esp. in vol. II, marg. waterstain in last quires of vol. II). Good large paper copy.
History of Holland, from Caesar to the death of Dirk VIII Count of Holland (1092) by G. van Loon The catholic historian (1683-1758) studied philosophy at Leuven and law at Leiden.
