First Edition. The book is described in the Arctic Bibliography: "Contains an account of the Roosevelt's passage to Cape Sheridan, Ellesmere Island; the march on the ice of the Arctic Basin to 87o06'N. and return via the northwest coast of Greenland; a sledge journey along the northern coast of Ellesmere Island (Grant Land), and the return of the ship through Robeson Channel-Smith Sound...," etc. Arctic Bib. 13226. Lot Amendments Condition: Faint, hardly noticable staining to spine and adjacent covers with some bubbling to cloth, small hole in spine strip; some offsetting to free endpapers, bookplate, still a very good, quite presentable copy.
