NEAR EASTERN LURISTAN BRONZE AXE HEAD Circa 800 BC. A broad cast axe head with slightly convex blade; the oval socket having four holes for pins to hold the wooden haft; the back of the axe with a semi-circular and notched crushing face. Bronze, 310 grams, 14 cm. Very fine condition. Provenance UK art market, acquired prior to 2000.
