S. Inspector of Contract Arms, 1818-1831 and inspected arms in plants of R. & J. D. Johnson, Simeon North, Lemuel Pomeroy, Nathan Starr and Asa Waters.), the barrel tang dated 1831, the lock inscribed US N. Starr, with a half sunburst, as well as Midltn Conn 1831, with sunburst, the lock with brass pan and bridled frizzen, the hammer with heart shaped cutout, 42" barrel. Provenance: The Estate of Georgia Langenfelder Linthicum. Condition:Overall fine untouched condition, some handling marks to stock, all metal turning black, small chip to stock behind lock plate.
