Author: Tully, Richard Place: London Publisher: Printed for Henry Colburn Date: 1817 Description: xiii, [2], 376 pp. Illustrated with a folding map and 7 colored plates. (4to) 27x21 cm (10½x8"), marbled calf, rebacked with modern calf spine, raised spine bands ruled in gilt, titled in gilt. Second Edition. Richard Tully was British Consul in Tripolis and was in very close contact to the family of the Pasha. This book contains letters by Tully's sister from the years 1783-1795, and is illustrated a folding map and wonderful color plates. Lot Amendments Condition: Rebacked, original calf lightly cracked, scuffed, rubbed; small library society bookplate on pastedown, a few small stains and light soiling to some leaves, very good.
