This is a registered receiver forward pinned 4-position pictograph selector lower with a magazine release “tab” on the bottom of the magazine well. The gun was manufactured in 1977 as indicated by the “HH” code on left side of magazine well. Also marked “HK 53” on left side of magazine well next to the serial number. Right side of magazine well-marked "Made in Germany HK Inc. Arl. Va 22201 Kal .223". Gun features include a composite shoulder stock and vertical forward grip. Aimpoint “Optima 2000” mounted on top of receiver. No magazine present. Electronic NFA registry indicates “HECKLER AND KOCH” as the manufacturer. PROVENANCE: From the collection of esteemed NFA firearms enthusiast and collector J. R. Moody. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to near excellent black hard coat original finish with only the slightest of handling marks. Composite furnishings of buttstock and pistol grip near excellent. Bore is near excellent, shiny, and bright. Bolt extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select-fire machine gun.
