Large title vignette (title in red and black), headpiece, tailpiece, 121 woodcut scenes of tournaments, including one double-page, numerous woodcut coats-of-arms in the text in good early hand-coloring. Several margins renewed or repaired, the outer margin of the folding plate replaced with some minor losses replaced in pen facsimile (note that some copies of this work have two copies of this plate, though most lack it entirely), toning and finger-soiling, a few plates in the second part with irregular touches of color, a few annotations. Two old armorial stamps of the Bibliothek Hohenlorische in Schillingsfurst (the library of the Princes of Hohenlohe, who lost their lands in 1806). The third edition of one of the most important of the 16th century German tournament books, with new woodcuts for this edition, and much additional material contained in two further parts, each of which has its own title-page. Part II discusses tournaments and games held at Vienna from May 2 to June 24 in the 1560s, and Part III the ceremonial entrance into Bintz of Charles V and his sons on 22 August 1549.
